As a couple, Greg and I have settled into the chores we are more comfortable with and lucky for us, all the chores still get done. I’m not a fan of doing dishes, but Greg doesn’t mind. I enjoy doing laundry and he doesn’t. It all works out… until it doesn’t.
I had the great pleasure of taking care of my grandson, Riley, while Sarah and John stayed at the birthing center to have Theo. While I was gone, Greg was still playing soccer and needed to wash his shirt for the next game. He called me to tell me the washer door just … broke.
What.
He said he heard a noise in the middle of the night, but thought it was the dog. It would have been muffled because the door to the laundry “room” was closed and the glass had just cracked. He didn’t know it was the washer until he went to use it and the whole center of the glass fell into the washer and the floor in front of the units.
We were JUST inside our year warranty and a quick call to Lazydays had their warranty department working on getting us a new door. This happened the second week of August. I picked the new door up the end of October. Oh warranty orders, how I will not miss your timing. I’ll miss the money saved, but not the MANY weeks to get something in.
So Maverick is now out of warranty and it’s a whole new level of ownership and learning to fix things on the rig. YouTube University & I are going to become reacquainted once more.
